Suwon Hwaseong Fortress tourist attractions

Suwon (Suwon-si - 수원시) is a capital city of Gyeonggi-do Province. Suwon lies approximately 30 kilometres (20 miles) south of Seoul and is one of the most populous of Seoul's satellite cities. It is traditionally known as "The City of Filial Piety".

Suwon is a basicley a suburb of seoul. It is worth coming here for at least one day to excape seoul. Plus i found the air better here and the people alot nicer. So many people would stop to say hello. I loved it here. Go see it.

To get to suwon you must get on the korean Railway. it's the same as using the subway. very easy and it doen't cost much. It's about a 40 min ride once you leave seoul. Make sure you get on the right trian!!!

Suwon has a rich history since it was founded during the Joseon Dynasty in the 18th century as a fortress city.

The biggest attraction in Suwon would be the big wall that goes around the old part of the city. This city was so well fortified becuase it used to be the capital of korea.

It's city walls are a world heritage site and it offers a look back at South Korea's past. It's home to Hwaseong Fortress, Woncheon Amusement Park, Everland Amusement Park, The Korean Traditional Folk Village, and various temples and tombs.
